Ligand names

For the final do we have to memorize all of the common ligand names?

Dr. Lavelle mentioned in class that knowing the ligand names is useful, and that we should go to the textbook for common ligand names--however, I'm not sure if this is a requirement for the final.

Yes, you should memorize the chart that he provided on the website under "Naming Coordination Compunds." I believe he will test us by giving us a compound and we would have to name it using ligand names.
