Zinc Nitrate

If I am making zinc nitrate what base do I use?

The base you would use is Zn(OH)2(aq).

The formula for Zinc Nitrate is Zn(NO3)2.

Theoretically you could use Zn(OH)2 (base) and add 2HNO3 (acid) to get Zinc Nitrate and water, though I'm not sure if this is possible in real life.
