Pure liquids and solids have definite molar concentrations. Gases and aqueous solutions have variable molar concentrations because there is a certain amount of moles of a substance in a certain volume, hence the molarity= moles/Liters. Therefore when pure solids and liquids are involved in a reaction there are no changes in the molarity (mol/L) so the concentrations are constant.
