equilibrium
What does it mean if the "equilibrium sits to the lift" or the "equilibrium sits to the right"?
Re: equilibrium
This is talking about whether the equilibrium sits more toward the product or the reactant side of the reaction. Sitting to the left refers to having a higher reactant concentration at equilibrium and K value that's less than 1. On the other hand, sitting to the right refers to having a higher product concentration at equilibrium and K value that's greater than 1.

Re: equilibrium
Dr. Lavelle also said in lecture that he doesn't like when books/students use this phrasing, and prefers the more accurate "this reaction favors the products (sits to the right)" or "this reaction favors the reactants(sits to the left)".

Re: equilibrium
It just means that when a reaction sits to the left, the reactants are favored and when a reaction sits to the right, the products are favored
