Changes in K
Does anyone know what actually changes K? I know changing the reaction and the temperature changes it, but does anything else change it?

Re: Changes in K
The only thing that changes K, the equilibrium constant, is temperature. Everything else just causes a shift equilibrium position, but not the equilibrium constant.

Re: Changes in K
Temperature (as said above) is the only change that will have an effect on the K constant. This is due to a change in energy provided and other conditions related to temperature change. Often raising the temperature will shift it to endothermic direction.

Re: Changes in K
The equilibrium constant only changes when temperature changes. Anything else will not cause the ratio of products and reactant to change.

Re: Changes in K
Temperature changes the equilibrium constant. When temperature increases the Kp decreases.
