If an isolated system contained +100kJ of energy after 100 years what is delta U?

since the system is isolated, no matter or energy can be exchanged with the surroundings. Therefore, after 100 years the amount of energy in the system (the internal energy, U) will remain constant at 100kJ. Remember that DeltaU=0 for all isolated systems.

An isolated system is one in which neither matter nor energy can be exchanged with its surroundings. Delta U will be 0 because, no matter the amount of time, the change in internal energy cannot be changed in an isolated system.

In an isolated system, matter and energy are not exchanged with the surroundings. Therefore the internal energy remains constant, so deltaU is 0.

Delta U would be 0 due to the fact that it is an isolated system. Since it is isolated, the internal energy will remain the same.
