complex molecules
Do complex molecules have higher or lower molar entropy than simple molecules and why?

Re: complex molecules
More information on what affects molar entropies can be found here: https://opentextbc.ca/introductorychemistry/chapter/measuring-entropy-and-entropy-changes-2/
"Larger, more complex molecules have higher standard molar enthalpy values than smaller or simpler molecules. There are more possible arrangements of atoms in space for larger, more complex molecules, increasing the number of possible microstates."

Re: complex molecules
Complex molecules have higher entropies due to the extra bonds and electrons, which increase the overall potential energy and disorder of the system.

Re: complex molecules
The more the molecular complexity, the more the disorder, and thus the more the entropy.

Re: complex molecules
A larger/more comlex molecule has higher entropy because there are more bonds in the system which lead to more disoreder or entropy.

Re: complex molecules
With a larger molecule, there are more possibilities to where the electrons/atoms position themselves in relation to each other.

Re: complex molecules
Can this also apply to subatomic particles? Like bc there are more neutrons/protons/electrions, an atom have have more entropy vs an atom w less?
