How do we use use faradays constant in the equation for Gibbs free energy?

Gibbs free energy= -nFE
Where n stands for the number of molecules of that compound.
F is Faradays constant.
E is the cell potential for the entire cell.

Faradays constant is the "F" in the equation. It's units will help cancel out the others to leave you with units of energy!

Faradays constant = 96485 C/mol.

It's given on the formula sheet so you don't have to memorize it

Just to add on, charge = moles of electrons transferred times Faraday = nF
