Re: Test 2

Calculating the equilibrium constant from Gibbs free energy, calculating the free energy of reaction from formation and using van't Hoff equation.

Re: Test 2

Basically you need to to do the rest of the homework questions from thermodynamics.

Re: Test 2

So will we need all of enthalpy and entropy for test 2?

Re: Test 2

In addition to what some classmates said, we should also know enthalpy and entropy because they are part of a Gibbs equation.

Re: Test 2

it covers all topics on Gibbs free energy and electrochemistry up to but not including the Nernst equation (which is all the new material covered in class Weeks 6 and 7)

Are the other parts of thermodynamics section going to be included?

Re: Test 2

All of the aspects of Gibbs Free Energy including the Van't Hoff equation and other related formulas. I would expect that there may be some interwoven questions related to enthalpy and entropy woven in to the test as well.

Re: Test 2

Know entropy and enthalpy as well because there a lot of questions that encompass those as well as GFE.
