Write the half reactions and devise a galvanic cell (write a cell diagram) to study the following reaction:
AgBr(s) -> Ag+(aq) + Br-(aq)
Could someone please explain to me why, in the answer key, they have the oxidation half reaction as Ag(s) + Br-(aq) -> AgBr (s) + 1e- and the reduction half reaction as Ag+(aq) + Br(s) +1e- -> AgBr (s)?

The correct reduction half reaction is actually Ag+(aq) + 1e- -> Ag(s) in the book.
