## Log version vs ln Version

### Log version vs ln Version

How do we know which one to use? Does it matter?

It actually doesn't matter whether you use the log version or the ln version; the log version is an altered version of the ln version, so both should give the same result.

I would recommend using the ln version more because that version is given in the formula sheet

The ln version might be more convenient, but both log and ln give the same ratio/result.

It does not matter. But using log is more convenient when calculating for pH.

It really shouldn't matter the difference is simply their base number (log with base 10 and ln with base e)

It does not matter which one you use, however I would use the ln one, since that is the one that is included on the equation sheet that we are given on tests and the final

Both versions give you the right answer. However, on the equation sheet, the log version is a constant over n, so you have to keep in mind that the constant given can only be used if the reaction is taking place at 25 Celsius.
