### catalyst and equilibrium constant

if a catalyst affects the rate constant and rate constants of forward and reverse reactions can be used to find equilibrium constant then why does the catalyst not affect the equilibrium constant?

### Re: catalyst and equilibrium constant

Its because the catalyst affects each rate constant proportionally, the forward and reverse rate will increase proportionally which will not change the equilibrium constant

### Re: catalyst and equilibrium constant

Don't we also have to keep the catalysts saturated with reactants? Or am I misrembering it.
