ICE Table Values
What type of values can the ICE Table calculate? I know the ideal "units" is concentration, but I was also told that you can do moles and just divide everything by the volume after. I also know that you can use bars in the ICE Table, so is there any sort of value or measurement that we shouldn't be using in the ICE Table? Is the ICE Table just some sort of blank graph used for organizational purposes?

Re: ICE Table Values
The ice table is used for finding out how much of a weak acid or base reacted. From the problems I've seen only bars and molarity were used, but I'm not completely positive.

Re: ICE Table Values
To avoid mistakes I would convert from moles to concentration or pressure because your calculations may get messed up, even though I think the ICE table is mostly for personal purposes.

Re: ICE Table Values
The ice tables can be used with moles, concentration, pressure but you need to make sure you know what you're using so that you can convert correctly at the end.

Re: ICE Table Values
I usually convert from moles to concentration or even pressure, otherwise your calculations may get messed up. I believe you can use moles, but it's a little more challenging that way.
Re: ICE Table Values
Generally I would recommend using only pressures and concentrations because that is what practice problems in the textbook use.

I would say look to see what the problem gives you if Kc then use concentration values (mol/L). If "K" or Kp then use partial pressure (bars).

Re: ICE Table Values
It's typically for moles, concentration (M), and pressure. You can also start off with moles and then convert it to molarity after. Just make sure that your units are consistent all throughout the ice table.

ICE tables can be used to calculate how much a weak acid or base has reacted. It can use moles, molarity, or partial pressure values. Make sure everything is consistent.
