### pseudo rate reactions

is the kprime in pseudo rate reactions the same as the kprime in reaction mechanisms in that it equals the reverse reaction?

Not quite, because k1' can represent the rate constant of the reverse reaction for step 1 in a mechanism. But, k' in pseudo rate kinetics often will be equal to k*[some reactant]. :)

Not really, the k' in the pseudo rate laws act as the original k, but under different conditions, generally the changing of the order of the reaction by having an excess of one reactant.
