∆G and work

Postby Emily Tam 1k » Sat Mar 16, 2019 10:37 pm

how are ∆G and work related? is it that if something is spontaneous then it will do more work?

I believe that delta G is the measure of the maximum amount of energy available for work.

deltaG for a spontaneous process represents the energy that is free to do useful work

Delta G is equal to the maximum amount of energy available to do work at constant temperature and pressure.
