overall rate
when writing the overall rate of the reaction we don't write in zero-order reactions right?

To my understanding and a brief google search, we do not include zero-order reactions when writing the overall rate because zero order does not affect the overall rate. Hope this helps. If I am wrong someone please correct me.

You do not include a zeroth order in the overall rate because anything to the power of zero is one. [A]^0=1 so it does not need to be included
