Limiting Reactants
Will professor Lavelle expect us to know the formula for, say, calcium hydroxide and ethyne in limiting reactant problems?

Re: Limiting Reactants
No need for any memorization of the names of any compounds. They will be provided in the question.

Re: Limiting Reactants
For the examples you provided Professor lavelle does not expect us to know the molecular formula, but for common things like diatomic molecules and water and carbon dioxide we may need to know what they are.

No he stated in lecture that anything like that would be provided in the question/problem assigned.

Re: Limiting Reactants
I has this similar question, I believe some of the homework problems sort of expected us to know this info and I was kind of stuck.

Re: Limiting Reactants
I believe that the professor doesn’t expect us to know in our course, but after we learn these compounds, the name should be known
