Clarification
Hello so if I'm not mistaken the amount of product will be determined by the limiting reactant right? So like I will base my calculations to get a certain product off of the limiting reactant.

Re: Clarification
Yes you're right! Once you figure out which reactant is limiting, that is the information which will determine how much product is produced. Make sure to keep the ratio between the limiting reactant and product in mind too when double checking your work. I hope that helped!

Re: Clarification
Exactly what you said, the limiting reagent or limiting reactant determines how much of the products are made because if a reaction runs out of any reactant, the amount of product is limited as a result. And the theoretical yield is the maximum amount of product that can be produced calculated with the limiting reagent.

Re: Clarification
Yes the limiting reactant will get you to your theoretical/maximum yield because the limiting reactant limits the total amount of product formed.
Re: Clarification
Yes, since the limiting reactant is the product that is not in excess, it is the product that will be completely used up and therefore determines the maximum (theoretical) yield that can be produced.
