Hey, I was just curious. What does Avogadro's number actually represent? Thank you guys. :)

Avogadro's number represents the amount of things inside one mole! Fun fact: it's dimensionless, as it represents different things. I say things because Avogadro's number can represent the amount of particles, formula units, atoms, etc. in one mole. :)

If you want to get into specifics, Avagadro's number is the number of Carbon-12 atoms in 1 mol of Carbon-12 (6.022x10^23 atoms). I believe that's how the number was determined way back in the day!

Avogadro's number is 6.022 × 10^23 and it indicates the number of atoms or molecules in a mole of any substance!

Avogadro's number, 6.022 x 10^23, represents the number of "particles" within one mole of a substance. These particles can be, for example, the number of atoms per mole of a given compound.

The textbook said that Avagadro's constant is not a pure number and can be given units (molecules, formula units, atoms, ions). Avagadro's constant can also be written as N with subscript A.

Avogadro's number represents the number of particles in a mole. If you know how many particles are in a given substance, this number can help you figure out how many moles there are. You can measure anything in moles really-- you could measure your food in moles if you really felt like it.

Avogadro’s number is referring to the pure number “6.0221 x 10^23,” which is unitless. On the other hand, Avogadro’s constant is a constant with units, 6.0221 x 10^23 mol^-1, which represents the number of objects (number of atoms, ions, or molecules in a chemical amount) per mole.
