Reactant vs. Reagent
Why do my notes have "reactant" and "reagent?" Is there a difference between the two?

Re: Reactant vs. Reagent
They are used interchangeably but to my understanding, typically a reactant is what you refer to in a balanced chemical equation and a reagent is a term used in the lab. I think we use reagent more because we deal with chemistry connected to biology and learn more through biological examples. Using either should be appropriate in my opinion.

Re: Reactant vs. Reagent
Chemicals in a lab are called reagents. When a reagent is used in a particular reaction, it is called a reactant.

Re: Reactant vs. Reagent
For the sake of our class, I think it's reagents/reactants on the left side and products on the right side.
