Homework Vs. Test

Postby JonathanS 1H » Sun Oct 06, 2019 1:04 pm

Hi everyone,
I noticed that on certain homework problems, such as E.9, we are not given the molecular formula of a compound, but rather the name of the compound. Does anybody know if this will be the case on tests, or will we be given the formula as well as the name?

Hi,
I'm pretty sure he is going to give us the formula, but I would brush up on the formulas for some basic compounds like nitric acid, etc just in case.

As the previous person said I think brushing up on the formulas before the test would be a good idea. Fundamentals Section D is super useful!

I know for a fact that all constants and equations are given. But as for the molecular vs empirical formula section, just in case I would practice finding them when it is not given!
