Could someone explain what black body radiation is? Thanks

Electrons in atoms and molecules absorb or emit quanta of energy, which gives atom (and molecular) spectra. Atoms and molecules only absorb or emit unique frequencies that are allowed by their unique electronic structure. This is unlike "black bodies" that absorb or emit a broad range of wavelengths.
Specifically, black body radiation is the radiation emitted at different wavelengths by a heated black body, for a series of temperatures.

If I'm not incorrect, black body radiation is radiation that is theoretically emitted from a black body, which absorbs all radiation that falls onto it.
