Grades
Is there any way we can view our grades? I know that for my other courses I've been able to review them on CCLE but I feel that i may have read th e syllabus wrong and would like some clarification so I know if i am receiving my discussion points and homework points.

1. Go to myUCLA
2. Click on the classes tab located at the top of the page
3. When you open that tab click on study list
4. Look under chemistry and click on grades

You can also view your study list by visiting the MyFeatures on MyUCLA, and under each class, to the right (under class website), there is a link to grades. :)

Re: Grades
In addition to wondering when the Test 1 grades will be posted, I am also curious whether there is partial credit on the exams?

Re: Grades
Does anyone know how frequently grades are updated and also how long it usually takes for tests/mid-terms to be posted on myUCLA?

I asked my TA and there's definitely partial credit given on exams if you show your work!

Does anyone know if there is a way to calculate our grades ourselves? Is it point system?

The grading system is point-based, but as Professor Lavelle states on the syllabus, letter grades aren't assigned until the very end. I don't think there's a way to know what letter you have, but you can estimate it using a normal scale (for example, 470/500 = 94% = A) and judge your performance from that. Hope this helps!

Also, how do we check our GPA? Is it also under exam and homework grades or would it be on our DARS?

definitely!! show as much work as possible, and if you show that know the concept, you will get at least a couple points.
