### Equations and Constants

Are there any specific equations or constants that aren't provided on the formula sheet but will be included on tests?

Most of the equations and constants will be given in the tests and exams, but the derivation equations are not given. Such as E= hc/wavelength, this is an important equation but not given directly in the formula sheet.

Most constants (Rydberg's, Planck's, etc.), equations (c = λ ν, E = h ν, etc.) are given on the sheet. However, you can figure out (or memorize) derivations of some equations that are not given.

My TA said all of the equations and constants will be provided on exams (same formula sheet as Test 1).

Also, I don't believe the conversions are provided on the tests (all the 10^x formulas).

I think it's good to memorize the important equations like E=hv or c = lambda(v) because they are used together a lot. We should be learning more that are just good to memorize even though they might be provided because it will show you have an understanding of the concept and you can save time on tests by not stopping and looking back at the formula sheet.

All equations and constants are given in the equation sheet, however derivations of equations are not given so its safer (and better) to know what each variable corresponds to in case a question on the exam requires it and to gain a better understanding of the concepts.
