What does it mean by the square of the wave function represents the probability of finding an electron?

The square of the wave function represents the electron probability distribution and how likely you are to find an electron in the orbital based on the Heisenberg principle. The wave function equation uses the concept that an electron with wavelike properties and indeterminacy in momentum and position can be described by the wave function.

In Schrodinger's Wave Function, the probability of finding an electron within the region of the atom is determined by squaring the wave function, ψ2, in which the wave function is a set of all the amplitudes.

As was said above, the equation represents the wave characteristic of electrons, so be squaring it you are able to find out how likely you are to find an electron.
