When do you use schrodinger’s equation and what do you need to know about it?

Schrodinger's equation is used to describes the probable positions of an electron in an atom. The equation involved sin and cos, so the graph is in waves. This connects to how electrons have wavelike properties.

Will we need to know how to use Shrodinger's Equation on the test or just understand it conceptually, like what an allowed energy level and a not allowed energy level looks like?
