When we draw the resonance structures do we have to draw out all of the possible ways or is a resonance hybrid sufficient enough on its own? Or would we have to draw all of the structures plus the hybrid?

I'm pretty sure you usually just have to draw like one of the structures (unless specifically asked to draw all).

Either of the first two options should suffice. Drawing a resonance hybrid would be the quickest way to display resonance, but drawing all of the structures is helpful in the sense of seeing all the options. Doing both is probably unnecessary, but if specified by the question, would be suggested. Hope this helped!

I believe choosing any of the structures works but if you are being questioned about resonance, it would probably be formatted in the instructions on how to go about drawing the lewis structure.
