Resonance bond length

Postby Shanzey » Sun Nov 03, 2019 1:41 pm

For resonance structures, is the bond length an average of the experimental bond lengths because of delocalization?

kind of yeah? i see it more as resonance describing the delocalization of electrons. but yes the bond length is the average
