Re: Shrodinger equation
From all the review sessions and office hours I attended, I don't think it will be but I'd be familiar with the concept just in case.

Re: Shrodinger equation
I believe the reason we covered the Schrödinger equation so briefly is that Dr. Lavelle doesn't really like this equation (I'm pretty sure one of the UA's said that) so we most likely won't encounter any problems where it will be necessary.
Also, any equation we need will be given on the equation constant sheet so you do not need to have it memorized.

Re: Shrodinger equation
It wasn't on the equation sheet for the first test on fundamentals even though other quantum equations were on it, so I doubt it'll be on the midterm unless he changed the equation sheet. However, just in case, spend like 5 minutes on it to get a general understanding.
Re: Shrodinger equation
I don't think we have to worry about it because he glossed over it, commented on his dislike for it, and continued to show us alternative calculations that we should be using instead. We also don't have any homework problems on it, so I say skip it.

I don't believe we'll need to memorize this for the exam. I think Lavelle even mentioned an alternative equation to use instead.

What was the alternative equation?

I don't think we need to know the Schrodinger equation. He went over it super briefly and my TA hasn't mentioned it.
