Noble Configuration vs. Full
On tests and exams will it be specified when we should write out the full hybridization or can we always use the noble gas configuration?
Re: Noble Configuration vs. Full
I believe that you can write the full configuration or the noble gas configuration. Either works

Re: Noble Configuration vs. Full
i'm pretty sure that if the question doesn't specify, then writing the noble gas configuration is fine
Re: Noble Configuration vs. Full
Usually a question will indicate if a full configuration is needed, but other than that a noble gas configuration is very commonly used and should do.

I believe it will be specified but if not the noble gas configuration should be sufficient.

They will usually tell you if you need to use shorthand or the full configuration. If not, noble gas should be fine.

I believe it should say in the question which one to use. If not specified, either way should be fine.
