Equilibrium constant and p
Will we always have to write P when writing the expression for the equilibrium constant?

Re: Equilibrium constant and p
For some homework problems like 11.3, the solutions include p in the answer but for other homework problems like 11.9 it doesn't. Is there a way that Dr. Lavelle wants us to do on the quiz and final?

I also had the same question. When writing equilibrium expressions, do you have to write them as (in the case of question 11.3) as K=(PN2O3)/(PN2)(PO3) or is K=[N2O3]/[N2][O3] also correct?

When Dr. Lavelle did examples in class I do not believe that he put the "P" in. So maybe that indicates that it's not necessary on tests and quizzes.
