Angles to know for test 2
Which specific VSEPR angle measurements do we need to know for test 2? Thanks!

I would know the corresponding angle measurements for all the examples Dr. Lavelle went over during the past two lectures. I would also know what conditions make the angles slightly less than the usual measure.

I don't think we have to memorize the bond angles for every shape, because for many shapes VSEPR can only predict the angle qualitatively rather than quantitatively. I do think it's good to memorize the angles with only bonding pairs (such as AX4 and AX5) though, since those will always have the same bonding angles regardless of what atoms are in it. For the rest you can just remember that the bond angles will be smaller for shapes that are similar but have lone pairs in place of the bonding pairs, since they have higher repulsion.
