What is the molecular shape if the central atom is found in group 12?

The atoms in Group 12 are transition metals, so they would likely either form ionic compounds with nonmetals or coordination compounds with ligands.
There is no real way to determine a molecule's shape just looking at the central atom. You would have to determine which molecule you want to look at first, then draw its Lewis structure and use VSEPR from there to determine its shape.

To determine its shape from using VSEPR, you would just have to count the number of bonding pairs and lone pairs it has and match it to its corresponding molecular geometry.
