What is the difference between a Bronsted and Lewis Acid?

Brosted acid and bases are defined by their ability to accept or donate hydrogen ions. Lewis acid and bases are defined by their ability to accept or donate electron pairs. A Lewis Acid is an electron-pair acceptor. A Brosted acid is a substance that can donate a hydrogen ion.

Like stated previously a bronsted acid is something that can donate a hydrogen and a Bronsted base is a molecule that can accept a hydrogen. Contrarily, a lewis acid is a molecule that accepts electrons while a lewis base is a molecule that donates electrons. A Bronsted acid can be classified as a lewis acid however, a lewis acid can not be classified as a Bronsted acid as a hydrogen ion is not transfered in all Lewis acid-base reactions.

Lewis structures = unpaired electrons, therefore, lewis acid = accepts electrons. And therefore Bronsted acid: donates proton

A Lewis acid is defined as an electron acceptor, while a Bronsted acid is defined as a proton donor.

Lewis acid: accepts an electron pair from a donor compound

Does anyone have any good youtube video suggestions for doing problems with acids and bases or writing the names of coordination compounds?
