Final Exam?
Does anyone happen to have a list of topics we will be covering for the exam or is it cumulative? If it is cumulative, can we just base off what we need to know using the outlines?
Re: Final Exam?
it is a cumulative final from all of the 6 outlines:
Outline 1: Review of Chemical & Physical Principles
Outline 2: The Quantum World
Outline 3: Chemical Bonds
Outline 4: Molecular Shape and Structure
Outline 5: Coordination Compounds and Their Biological Importance
Outline 6: Acid and Base Structures and Properties

Outline 6: Acid and Base Structures and Properties

Re: Final Exam?
It is cumulative and I would make sure to know everything on each of the outlines as well as be able to do the problems on them. All the outline and the problems are on his website.

Re: Final Exam?
It is cumulative and accounts for everything listed in all 6 outlines on the syllabus. I would practice problems from each section and redo problems on the tests we have taken this quarter, especially problems you missed. The final is also on a Sunday don't forget!

Thanks for the info! I would brush up on everything you can't remember off the top of your head and reinforce those topics via hw questions.

Re: Final Exam?
It is cumulative, and make sure you review problems that you’ve missed on previous exams.

Re: Final Exam?
The final is cumulative and good review would be homework problems, tests, the midterm, and past final questions.

There was an email sent out that said review sessions would begin December 3rd, but the rooms and times haven't been announced yet, they will be announced Monday in class.
Re: Final Exam?
It will be a cumulative final but I believe that it will focus more on the topics we learned after test 2!

Re: Final Exam?
Definitely cumulative! Best way to study in my opinion is to go over the assigned problems and previous test questions!

Re: Final Exam?
It is cumulative and regarding the outlines, just make sure to understand conceptually the topics discussed in each and how they form connections with each other.

It is cumulative. So you need to know everything we went over in class since the beginning of the quarter.

Re: Final Exam?
As long as you thoughtless cover all the outlines you should be okay. Study the homework and book (and obviously notes) to determine the exact knowledge you will be tested on.
