Single bonds are sigma bonds, in double bonds there is a sigma and pi bond, and in triple bonds there are two pi bonds and one sigma bond.

Sigma bonds are always one of the (up to three) bonds in a bond between two atoms. Specifically, there is one sigma in a single bond, one sigma in a double bond and one sigma in a triple bond.

Yes, every single bond is immediately a sigma bond, but there are also sigma bonds in double and triple bonds.

Yes the first bind is always a sigma bind while all other bonds formed will be pi bonds.
