What is the difference between bronsted and lewis acid and bases and which is more common?

Bronsted and Lewis are simply definitions of how to describe an acid or a base. A Bronsted acid is a proton donor while a Lewis acid accepts an electron pair. It just depends on how you look at it. In high school, I was taught that we generally use the Bronsted definition more so perhaps that one is more common.

Adding on to that, we have been using Bronsted more due to conjugate acid and base pairs which don't exist by the Lewis definition.
