Acidic or Basic

Postby Hailey Kim 4G » Mon Dec 02, 2019 9:06 pm

What are some common drinks, food, or household items that we should be able to identify as acidic or basic for the final?

Most household cleaners are basic(bleach, soap) while citric based fruits and vinegar tend to be acidic.

Examples of basic items would be bleach, baking soda, soapy water, and ammonia solution. Examples of acidic items would be lemon juices, gastric acid, and black coffee. Pure, distilled water is neutral

Lavelle mentioned most soaps and cleaning solutions are basic and other acidic things include lemon or vinegar.
