Conjugation and hybridization

Postby 605208780 » Tue Dec 03, 2019 12:46 pm

Hey, could someone please explain to me how conjugation affects hybridization and if we will have to use this concept explicitly.

In chemistry, a conjugated system generally refers to a molecule, in which the electrons are delocalized and are much more stable. this usually occurs in the hybridization of the p-orbitals involved in the respective atoms. Since the electrons are delocalized, the molecule is much more stable. I don't think you would need to know anything more than this about this concept.
