### Titrations

What do we need to know about titrations for the final? Will there be any calculations or it is all conceptual?

### Re: Titrations

I think most of it is conceptual. Titrations allow us to find the molarity of an unknown solution using another solution with a known molarity. We use the stoichiometric point/equivalence point to figure out the molarity of the unknown solution.

I think the extent of what you need to know about titrations for the final is that it is used to find the pH of a solution, and this is found at the solution's equilibrium point (H+ = OH-)

So nothing with titration equations?

The specifics of titration are more important for 14B and 14BL. For the final I would understand the stoichiometric point and its significance

### Re: Titrations

can someone clarify what exactly a stoichiometric point is and how it helps to determine pH?

### Re: Titrations

the stoichiometric point is when the moles of acid equals the moles of base, and knowing the volume and moles this can be used to calculate teh concentration and then the pH
