oxygen in acid strength

Does the presence of oxygen make electronegativity matter more than bond length?

Acids that contain oxygen are under the "oxoacid" group, which means that the more oxygen atoms that are present, the more acidic the compound is (because of high electronegativity). When comparing two oxoacids, the molecule with a larger number of oxygen atoms would be more acidic. I'm not sure if we'd be asked to compare acids that are of two different groups (binary, oxoacids, or carboxylic)
