You should know the equation and the idea behind acid rain.

Carbon dioxide reacts with water in The atmosphere to form carbonic acid, which is released in acid rain

H2O + CO2 --> H2CO3

it may also be helpful to know that H2CO3 can dissociate and give off one of the protons

H2CO3 --> HCO3- + H+

Is that all that was focused on for acid rain?

For acid rain, you should know that it is formed in the atmosphere when carbon dioxide reacts with water, which produces carbonic acid and becomes acid rain.

H2O + CO2 --> H2CO3
