Finding Conjugate A and B

Postby Bryce Ramirez 1J » Sun Dec 08, 2019 10:40 am

When trying to find the conjugates to acids and bases, all you have to do is remove an H or add an H? And this reaction would happen in water.

yes, for conjugate acids, add an H+ and for conjugate bases remove and H+

I also learned that your conjugate acid is the one that looks the most similar to your base. And vice versa

Yes!! For conjugate acids, you would add an H+ but remove an H+ for a conjugate base

Hello! To find a conjugate acid, a hydrogen atom is added, and to find a conjugate base the hydrogen atom would be removed.
