Very Large K
what does it mean when K is a very large value and not just simply >1 but more like >>>>>1?

Re: Very Large K
I believe that having a very large K (like larger than 10^3) indicates that the equilibrium strongly favors the products, and that there's a higher amount of products present at some time.

Re: Very Large K
A very large K value means the reaction at equilibrium will heavily lean towards the products. The equilibrium constant is basically concentration of products over concentration of reactants, so for K to be a large value, the numerator (product) should be big while denominator (reactant) should be small.

Re: Very Large K
K stands for the equilibrium constant and represents the fixed ratio between products and reactants under specific conditions. If K is large, there is a higher percentage of products in the equilibrium solution in comparison to reactants. This emphasizes that the forward reaction is therefore stronger (more likely to occur) than the reverse reaction.

Re: Very Large K
In addition to what everyone else has already mentioned, it means that the products are much more stable than the reactants in the chemical equation provided.

Re: Very Large K
Seeing as the formula for K is K = [P]/[R], the larger the concentration of products and the smaller the concentration of reactants there are, the larger K will be.

Re: Very Large K
the higher the K, the more the products are favored. If the K is extremely large, theoretically there would not be a backward reaction because only the forward reaction is favored.

Re: Very Large K
Since K is just Product/ Reaction. A large K means a large amount of Product, so the rxn would mainly producing product or shifting to the right

Re: Very Large K
A large K would mean the product concentration in the equation is much greater than the reactant. Therefore, the reaction at equilibrium favors the products.

Re: Very Large K
This means that at equilibrium more products are present than reactants. In this case, a lot more
