Increasing volume
So I know if you decrease volume, K will shift to increase whichever side has less moles of gas. But, if volume increases, will K shift to increase whichever side has more moles of gas? or will K not change at all?

Re: Increasing volume
Yes if the volume increases K will indicate movement to whichever side has less gas molecules, this is because an increase in volume (expansion) is indicative of a decrease in pressure.

Re: Increasing volume
The greater density of molecules increases the number of collisions. When you decrease the pressure, molecules don't hit each other as often and the rate of reaction decreases. By decreasing the volume available to the molecules of gas, you are increasing the concentration of molecules in a specific space.

Yes. When the volume of reaction is increased, K will shift to the side with more moles.
