Ice tables for partial pressures

Postby Emily Vainberg 1D » Sun Jan 12, 2020 1:46 pm

Can we use ICE tables when we are referring to partial pressure (like when values are given in bars)?

I believe we can because the Ice tables are used to help with the calculations of concentrations, and if we use Kp, we can, and have to, use partial pressures in the calculation.

Yes, we can. With Kp, the ICE table would then represent the initial pressure (I), the change in pressure (C), and the pressure at equilibrium (E).

Hope this helps!

Yes, both partial pressure and concentration can be used in ice tables

Yes ice pressures are for all equilibrium reactions
