Homework problem 5.I.15

Postby Emily Orozco L4 » Sun Jan 19, 2020 4:40 pm

For this problem I got the correct answer without using an ICE table, but when I looked at the solutions they used one. Would we get marked off for that on the test?

I don’t know. I didn’t use an ice table either to get it.

I don't think you get marked off for not using an ice table as long as you get the right answer. However I recall Lavelle gives partial credit for correct procedures so if you did use the ice table but got the answer wrong, you would probably get partial credit.

Honestly ice tables are just a quick to check your work, but from what I understand it is required that you use one to solve such questions on tests/exams

I don't think ICE tables are necessary to get full credit on tests as long as you get the right answer. Although I would suggest using one because there's possible partial credit.
