If there is no non-expansion work done on the system and the pressure is still constant, then the heat consumed or released by the system will be equal to q.

When q equals delta H that means that pressure is constant in the system. There is also no other work being done on the system.

Do we need to memorize the table in the textbook that tells you which fraction to multiply R by based on if the reactant is an atom or molecule and so forth?
