i'm not that good with remembering the letters that are associated with all of the terms. can anyone tell me a list of what each letter represents? like delta u, delta s, etc..

Re: overall definitions
Here are some of the important ones -
deltaT = change in temperature
deltaS = change in entropy
deltaH = change in enthalpy
deltaU = change in internal energy
deltaV = change in volume
deltaP = change in pressure
W = work
The other W = degeneracy, which helps you find entropy
Csp = specific heat capacity
q = heat given off by reaction
deltaT = change in temperature
deltaS = change in entropy
deltaH = change in enthalpy
deltaU = change in internal energy
deltaV = change in volume
deltaP = change in pressure
W = work
The other W = degeneracy, which helps you find entropy
Csp = specific heat capacity
q = heat given off by reaction

Re: overall definitions
Adding on, Cp refers to molar heat capacity at constant pressure and Cv refers to molar heat capacity at constant volume. Both are for gases.

thank you so much for this list!! I'd like to add on that lower case w is for work while upper case W is for degeneracy.
