Calculating Titration Curve points

Postby 504594108 » Wed Dec 02, 2015 8:13 pm

For HW 13.23, how do you know the interval of liters of titrant to add? Like what number do you plug in for the liters of HCl?

To sketch the curve, you want to have the initial point, the stoich. point and a final point. You can solve for the volume of HCl at the stoich. point since mol of acid=mol of base. If your sketch needs more points, you can choose volumes of HCl more and less than the stoich. point to calculate the pH.
